Reel sizes, the amount of film they hold and approximate running times are below. Running times are based on 8mm and Super 8mm.

About 1500 feet of film fits on one DVD. This can vary due to the sizes of your reels. As a rule of the thumb 24-27 3-inch reels fit on one DVD. We can typically put 3 7-inch reels on one DVD. MiniDV tapes hold one hour of footage or approximately 1000 feet of film.
