A thought about legacy during the pandemic.
After the year you’ve experienced, thoughts about your legacy may not be top of mind. But your 2020 stories – of challenges met, sacrifices made, & help rendered – are now intricately woven into your personal legacy.
I hope you preserve & share those stories in the years to come.
I wish you and yours a happy, healthy, & prosperous 2021.

New Legacy Video Lounge podcasts are on the way.
I experienced quite a shock when I realized that well over two years had passed since I posted the last installment of the Legacy Video Lounge podcast. I mean, I knew I’d let the podcast slip a bit due to a busy legacy video production schedule – but nearly three years? C’mon, Steve.
So I decided to rectify the situation by creating some new episodes for 2021 – and I thought I’d change things up a bit. You’ll hear a new open and close, for one thing. But that’s not all.
You see, I’m usually the guy behind the camera (or microphone) conducting the interviews. So I decided to turn the tables a bit, put myself in the hot seat, and bring in a guest interviewer to pepper me with legacy video questions.
I invited a long-time friend and colleague to serve as inquisitor. Her name is Elena Acoba. Elena is an awarding-winning news reporter and magazine feature writer. In her own writing and editing business, she has interviewed probably thousands of people in order to tell the stories of companies, organizations, and individuals. Now she can add me to the list!
Our conversations covered a wide range of legacy video-related topics, and they’ll be coming your way in installments over the next few months.
Part 1 is online now, enjoy!

Family Legacy Video® produces videos for American Mining Hall of Fame awards.
Since 2012, Family Legacy Video, Inc. has been honored to produce the lion’s share of videos played during the annual American Mining Hall of Fame Awards Banquet sponsored by the Mining Foundation of the Southwest.
The banquet is usually a gala affair held on the first Saturday of December and routinely attracts over five hundred attendees. Thanks to the pandemic, the December 5, 2020 banquet morphed into a virtual affair. The event streamed from the facilities of Hexagon Mining in downtown Tucson with just a handful of folks onsite – but with a substantial audience watching remotely. As in past years, videos produced by Family Legacy Video® played key roles in the night’s program. Feel free to visit the Mining Foundation’s site to view the videos for Inductees from Mining’s Past and the Medal of Merit Recipients.
